A friend posted on Facebook this afternoon that they had tried to go to Garnish Kitchen for lunch but the space appeared to be closed. I called the main line, it has been disconnected. So, I reached Chef and Co-Founder Aaron Hubbard by cell. He confirmed that the restaurant and cooking class space at 1314 W. Davis Street is, indeed, closed. December 31 was their last day of business.

“As much as we loved our space, there’s just not enough action on that side of Davis,” says Hubbard. “But I’m sure there will be in the future…I loved being a part of the Oak Cliff community.”

Hubbard is unsure of what’s next for him. He’s also unsure of what will happen to the space.

There are still plenty of places to take cooking classes in Dallas, though. If you’re interested, check out this story by Kathy Wise, which ran in the September 2018 issue of D Magazine.
