The Scoop: The Adolphus’ Summer Cinema Series, Beer Dinners, and More

There’s not always enough time in the day to skim a lengthy, re-worded press release that’s been stamped with “breaking” or “exclusive.” And some stories don’t warrant an entire page of prose. Ocean Prime offers a pre-theater menu:

The prix fixe menu is available Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Featured course options:

First: French onion Soup, house salad, or Caesar salad
Second: 8-ounce filet with “surf” of choice: shrimp scampi, crab cake, sea scallops
Also: a choice of side

The special is $55 per person.

The Adolphus launches free Summer Cinema Series:

Starting July 11, the downtown hotel will be showing movies at the pool. The event takes place at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays on the seventh floor pool deck. July is ’70s movies, August is ’80s movies, and September is ’90s movies. In addition to the pool’s menu of summer bites, they’re offering concession-style snacks.

Eureka! hosts Texas Ale Project beer dinner:

Head to Eureka! on July 17 for a four-course beer pairing dinner. The event is $45 per person. You can check out the full menu and purchase tickets here.
