Yesterday we received word from Jeana Johnson, co-owner of East Dallas Vietnamese restaurant, Mot Hai Ba, that there’s a new chef in her kitchen. “It is with great pleasure that Colleen and I would like to announce we have a new chef. His name is Peja Krstic. He is a Serbian-born chef who comes to us by way of The Standard Pour. Along with taking the reins of the kitchen, he has created some new dishes that we are excited to premier this evening,” Johnson said.

Krstic’s menu, which launched last night, includes a few new dishes such as red curry mussels; curried duck leg with potatoes, carrots, and herbs; bo kho (Vietnamese beef stew) with braised beef, green papaya, and carrots; and grilled duck hearts on a green papaya salad, with citrus, and a garlic baguette.

“We kept a few staples that our customers have proven… they love. Shaking beef and banh xeo can never go away,” Johnson further explained.
