Denton residents will be elated to know that a new Hypnotic Donuts and Cultivar Coffee location is opening at 235 W. Hickory Street. There was an open house this past Sunday, and the official opening is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3.

Cultivar Coffee, voted Best of Big D last year, will operate separately from Hypnotic, but in the same building.

Expect those huge chicken biscuits as well as poutine, fries, salads, beer and wine from Hypnotic, and that excellent coffee Cultivar is known for.

Said James and Amy St. Peter, owners of Hypnotic Donuts:

“We have always liked the cosmic vibe that the Denton Town Square, UNT and TWU campus area emanate. On our very first visit to Denton we realized it would be a great fit for us. However, we spent an additional 14 months out there talking with people, the city and business owners to make sure we would be a great fit for them. The support from the local people, businesses and the city sealed the deal. Our location will be situated between the Denton Town Square and the UNT campus. We love how that area is full of independent and open-minded businesses and people. We are also very excited to have Cultivar Coffee operating a full service coffee shop within our location.”

Jonathon Meadows and Nathan Shelton, owners of Cultivar Coffee, said, “Cultivar Coffee Roasters is ready to caffeinate Denton. We will be bringing our gourmet roasted coffee and handcrafted espresso drinks to join our friends at Hypnotic Donuts.”
