One of the best events of the year, Chefs for Farmers, is starting its big hulabaloo off right by hosting a cocktail mix-off at the Standard Pour on Sunday, September 15. Chefs for Farmers, a grassroots organization that celebrates local farmers and great food, donates its profits to charitable causes. It’s all for the love of community. Take a look at the press release:
WHAT: Chefs for Farmers (CFF) hosts the annual Mix-Off event to kick off the 2013 culinary festival at Standard Pour, sponsored by Beam and Patron using Beam’s Makers Mark and Patron’s Pyrat Rum.
Seven of Dallas’ most talented bartenders take a stand behind the bar at The Standard Pour where each compete to create the signature cocktail for the Chefs For Farmers culinary festival.
The first 100 guests who RSVP to attend serve as judges for the competition. Each guest judge is provided with a sample of each cocktail, and cast votes for their favorite. The cocktail that receives the most votes will be announced by last year’s Mix-Off winner Abe Bedell of Belly and Trumpet, and featured as the signature drink at the CFF main event, held November 3 at Lee Park. Following the competition, guests enjoy $5 cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres, provided by The Standard Pour.
