Patti Stanger, the star of Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker, has found her match as a partner in TY KU Premium Sake & Spirits.

Stanger will make her first retail appearance as a partner in TY KU to share her thoughts on what makes it the “champagne of all sakes.” She’ll be signing retail bottles and talking about her favorite cocktails at the Whole Foods Market of Lakewood today from 4-6 p.m.

Stanger said that her interests expanded to becoming a partner in TY KU after realizing that TY KU’s sake was different from others on the market. Stanger’s stringent low-calorie, gluten-free diet works with TY KU sake because the premium spirit is all-natural, organic, and free of gluten, sulfites and tannins.

“The secret of TY KU is also the way it’s refined,” Stanger said. “It’s done the age-old way and is actually a healthy choice.”

TY KU comes in a variety of flavors and low-calorie liqueurs, with coconut being Stanger’s favorite. When I asked the best way Stanger likes to enjoy TY KU, she said, “I like it straight just like my men.”

She also commented that TY KU is smooth and made to drink like a fine wine, so she suggests drinking it from a wine glass as opposed to a traditional sake cup. Stanger warned, “Heating TY KU destroys the flavor.”

In addition to TY KU being premium sake with the fastest-growing Asian portfolio on the market, Stanger has found that it doubles as an effective ingredient in some of her favorite recipes.

“I’ve used the TY KU Sake Black to make tiramisu, and the sweet aftertaste from the sake worked just as well as the liqueur I usually use,” she said.

Despite all of the qualities that make TY KU unlike other sakes, Stanger said the company’s goal is to reestablish the meaning of why sake was made thousands of years ago.

“TY KU is the drink that connects. It’s a ceremonial drink meant to be shared with the people you’re closest to. It is a wellness drink that builds friendships, and I even suggest it to my clients as a way to woo their women,” she said.
