This town has a lot of wine tastings and a lot that are, at best, ordinary. However, on Wednesday September 28, The Grape, and owner/sommelier Courtney Luscher, plays host to Domaine Serene from Oregon. This is one of the most fêted wineries in the country. Their specialty is their line of single vineyard Pinot Noirs, although they also score highly with their Chardonnays. The range to be tasted at the dinner looks good. The pairings including an older “Evenstad Reserve” Pinot Noir. If you want to savor some of the best Pinot Noirs made in America, or if you are a Burgundy lover looking for the same style of wine but made domestically, then this is the event for you. Of course, chef Brian Luscher and his sous chef Danyele McPherson also know how to cook, so that alone might be reason enough to attend.

Chef/Owner Brian C. Luscher and wife Courtney of The Grape along with Ginger Dollins of Domaine Serene Winery in Oregon host an exclusive wine dinner Wednesday, September 28 at 7pm.
Showcasing award-winning wines from the Oregon winery, Chef Brian will prepare a 4-course menu to complement the hand-selected wines of the evening. Ginger Dollins, Southeast Regional Manager for Domaine Serene, will be on-hand to talk about the wines and delight diners with tales from the wineries storied past. Ginger will pour some winery exclusives and library vintage wines that are expertly paired with Chef Brian’s menu.
Featured Domaine Serene wines include 2006 Etoile Chardonnay, 2008 Etoile Chardonnay, 2006 Monogram, 2003 Evenstad Reserve and the 2007 SoNo Syrah.
Seating is limited and reservations are required for this event. Cost is $125 per person exclusive of tax, gratuity and other beverages.
