mussels at Dish.

Earlier this week the people at Dish invited a few media folks to try out their lunch menu. The restaurant is now open Monday through  Friday from 11:30–2:30.  Prices are very reasonable (ranging from $4 to $18).

Chef Doug Brown was there and so we obviously ate very well.

The black mussels with chorizo and tomatoes was my favorite dish.  I’ve been ordering mussels quite a bit lately, and these were almost as amazing as the ones I ate at Bolsa a couple of weeks. (Advantage to Bolsa for the toasty pieces of bread served for dipping).

Banana bread dessert at Dish.

The dessert they served was divine. It is a banana bread cake topped with bruleed bananas and salted caramel sauce.  I mean–how good does that look?

There you have it. As always, let us know if you’ve been, and what you think.
