So I just got back from the T Room at 4510–my very favorite place to lunch–and while I was dining on pecan-cranberry chicken salad with my friend Courtney, we saw Laura Bush roll up with her friends and the Secret Service. Turns out the First Lady is also a lady-who-lunches (like me?), and she looked quite lovely as she sat among her friends on the patio, eating a panino (good choice, Mrs. B). Courtney and I felt very proud to have (almost) dined with Mrs. Bush today–especially because this was her 2-month-old daughter Story’s first lunch at 4510. She was in good company today.
