Report From L.A.: Canter’s Deli

Dishers, I don’t have time to kibitz, but I wanted to give you a quick peek inside Canter’s Deli in the Fairfax District in L.A. Canter’s is the ultimate Jewish Deli, the likes of which are not to be found in Dallas. And why is that? Saturday I feasted on chopped liver and onions, housemade pickles, and hot pastrami on rye that was to die for. Sometimes I feel like Dallas’ only true ethnic food is Mexican. Where have all the delis gone? Click here for pictures.
