IKEA Opens, New Retailers Ink Leases in Grand Prairie

Grand Prairie Corners has signed four tenants adjacent to the 290,000-square-foot Swedish furniture giant.

The 290,000-square-foot IKEA opens in Wednesday morning in Grand Prairie.The new store, just north of Interstate 20, is IKEA’s second North Texas store, after its Frisco location. Adjacent to the new home décor store, four new tenants have signed leases at a new retail development called Grand Prairie Corners.

The three-acre Grand Prairie Corners at the southeast quadrant of State Highway 161 and Mayfield Road is part of a 50-acre mixed-use development owned by TA Land Fund that will eventually include residential and a hotel.

Grand Prairie Corners’ new tenants include Mattress Firm, Jason’s Deli, Ideal Dental and Artisan Nail Spa. The four retailers total 13,600 square feet.

Venture Commercial Real Estate’s John Zikos and Amy Pjetrovic with Venture represented the landlord, NDC Holdings in the retail development that broke ground in November. Jason’s Deli, Artisan Nail & Spa, Ideal Dental, Mattress Firm were represented by Kevin McIntosh with KMAC Group; Cindy Dunn with CJ Dunn Commercial, LLC; Evan Reynolds with Dental Space Advisors; and David Fazio with The Retail Connection, respectively.
