Valley View Mall is being demolished to make way for Dallas Midtown. Now, the owner of the former Sears—Seritage Growth Properties—has partnered with developer KDC to turn its 23-acre plot into a two-tower office development.

Seritage will build a total of 1 million square feet of office space across two buildings within the 430-acre Dallas Midtown. Seritage is also considering a hotel and other community amenities, according to a statement from KDC.

“Seritage’s plans are going to be a transformational project that converts the Sears site into a highly productive office and first-class retail, dining and entertainment destination,” Seritage Executive Vice President James Bry said, in a statement.

A site plan application will be filed with the city of Dallas in the near future.
