Hillwood has promoted Christian Childs to the president of Aviation Cos. at Fort Worth Alliance Airport. The company’s former president, Tom Harris, will step into an executive vice president role after 32 years as leader. Childs will now lead the airport and its teams through rapid growth and will oversee all of the day-to-day operations of Hillwood’s three aviation divisions: Alliance Air Services, Alliance Aviation Services, and Alliance Air Productions. The three entities together manage the airport and FBO operation, as well as produce the annual Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show.

Christopher Ash’s core function in his new role will be expanding military, corporate, airline, and real estate partnerships, while maintaining oversight of AllianceTexas Fuel Services. He will work alongside Tom Harris and also serve as a central leader within the Aviation Companies, overseeing marketing, advancements in aviation mobility technologies, and unmanned aerial systems.

Mickey Leech, Chief Executive Officer
After moving its headquarters from Chicago to DFW, Schumacher Electric Corp. has appointed Mickey Leech its new leader. Prior to this role, Leech worked for 18 years at MTD Products in various roles, including vice president of e-commerce and aftermarket divisions, president for handheld products division, and general manager for aftermarket divisions. Before MTD Products, Leech was the director of field sales for L’Oreal for more than nine years.

Mike Loftus joins Eyemart Express from Lori’s Gifts, the nation’s largest provider of hospital gift shop retail and concierge services, where he most recently served as CFO. Prior to that, he held finance leadership roles at GameStop, Blockbuster, and The Gamer Fund.

Todd Sanders will oversee finance, accounting, and investor relations for cloud-based business software company ECI Software Solutions. He was previously CFO of software company Planview. Prior to his role at Planview, he served as CFO at Symphony Retail AI for five years and vice president of business services at Retalix for six years.

Cameron Hernholm, Chief Philanthropy Officer
Cameron Hernholm joins Nexus Recovery Center, a nonprofit specializing in substance abuse disorder treatments for adult women, where she will be responsible for the organization’s fundraising, marketing, and public relations. She will also oversee the grant proposal process, prepare and manage the annual budget, and track and forecast revenue. Previously, she was the chief advancement officer at Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region.

Renee Gadson, Vice President of Heart Challenge
As vice president of Heart Challenge, Renee Gadson will collaborate with corporations and community leaders to maximize community health equity and development in the Dallas area. She is responsible for growing Dallas Heart Challenge revenue by 40 percent, to $10 million. Previously, Gadson was the senior director of corporate relations for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.

Like Roelke, Ian Walker joins Newmark from CBRE, where he was a vice president in the student housing debt and structured finance practice. Walker also worked in London to build a capital markets team, responsible for raising capital for developers and operators to build and buy multifamily and student housing properties throughout the United Kingdom. At Newmark, he will work alongside Roelke to further develop the company’s student housing platform.

David McNeil, Senior Managing Director
David McNeil joins commercial real estate investments firm Strive to identify and capitalize on real estate investment and development opportunities. McNeil previously was property manager of his own firm, the McNeil Property Company. Prior to that, he was vice president of asset management for Weitzman in Dallas, where he was responsible for a 4.2 million square-foot portfolio of retail shopping centers. His major projects over his career include acquiring, developing, leasing, and selling the 190,000 square-foot shopping center Shafer Plaza in Frisco, expanding Highland Park Village, and acquiring, redeveloping, and selling 7015 Snider Plaza.
