Just after twilight on Monday night, a crowd gathered at East Austin’s Blue Starlite Drive-In Theater, for a screening of the 1980 film Stunt Rock, which sounds like your average night in this town.  But, in lieu of previews, there was a promotional short announcing the lineup of Fun Fun Fun Fest 2014. The Monday night event was designed to give locals an early edge, though judging by the early national coverage, it wasn’t just the locals that were in on this. The spoiler featured the stars of Jackass revealing the acts of this November’s festival.

At the top of the dogpile stands Nas, who will tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Illmatic, along with metal pioneers, Judas Priest. The newly reinvigorated Neutral Milk Hotel is another booking achievement, as they’ve been selling out theaters and halls around the world since their reunion.

See the full lineup for yourself below. But before you scroll, here’s a spoiler: Dallas’ accolades-draped Blue, the Misfit is included, and I couldn’t be more pleased to have him represent us on such an important stage. He’ll be supporting some of the most internationally relevant acts in contemporary hip hop. The release in its entirety:
