Two North Texas retail-focused firms are expanding their ranks:
• Trademark Property Co. has hired Jeff Johnson as its new senior vice president of development. He’ll be responsible for leading land acquisition and pre-development efforts for new, ground-up and major redevelopments of retail and mixed-use projects.
Johnson brings more than 20 years of real estate experience to Trademark, having led the acquisition, development, and operation of more than 4.5 million square feet of retail, commercial, multifamily, and industrial property located throughout the country. He joins the company from Fareway Stores, Inc. where he served as director of real estate and was responsible for the development of new stores for the 112 grocery store chain. He previously served as founder and president of Cormac Co., as well as vice president of Stone Creek Development.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree economics with emphasis in finance and management from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
• SRS Real Estate Partners has hired Brandt Rensmeyer as an associate in its Dallas-Fort Worth office. He will focus on landlord representation and land brokerage. Rensmeyer joins SRS from The Woodmont Co. There, he leased Southlake Park Village, a 190,000-square-foot specialty market with restaurant and retail shops.
Rensmeyer’s role gained him hands-on experience with lease negotiations, prospecting, and working with institutional landlords. He was also responsible for leasing reports, merchandising plans, and overseeing various construction processes.
Rensmeyer has a bachelor’s degree in human resources and business management from Texas A&M University.
