D’S YEAR-LONG STOCK CONTEST, IN which D readers match wits and portfolios with nine local experts and a class of kids from the University of North Texas, has reached the halfway milestone. Out front is Jim Kennedy of Hunt Valley, Maryland, whose portfolio is up 61 percent since January, thanks primarily to a recent leap by IOMEGA. Falling, hut not far, to second place is Jodi Lutz of Irving, whose portfolio growth is at a :;olid 56 percent.
But where are those experts? Meanwhile, the class of whiz kids from UNT is enjoying slow but steady growth at 11 percent.
