Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 311 COVID-19 cases with 11 from previous months. There was one death of a man in his 90s who had underlying high-risk health conditions.


Despite low hospitalization rates, 15,500 Texans have died due to COVID-19 since March, The Texas Tribune reported.


Texans may begin to see price increases in virtual care coverage due to the pandemic’s lasting effects on telehealth. Health spending is projected to grow by at least 5 percent next year as COVID-19 persists and the nation’s reliance on virtual care continues, The Dallas Morning News reported.


Health researchers raised questions about Texas’ method of tracking COVID-19 data with concern for discrepancies in reporting, KERA reported. At the same time, Tarrant County saw 240 new cases today.
