Dallas County adds just 298 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, but also 29 confirmed deaths.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 298 new COVID-19 deaths and 29 deaths, along with one additional probably death. “Today’s numbers carry with it a somber reminder of the dangerousness of #COVID19 as we announce the deaths of 29 more confirmed #COVID19 cases and one probable #COVID19 death,” Jenkins tweeted. 


In Tarrant County, 204 new COVID-19 cases were reported along with five deaths, NBC DFW reports. The seven-day average is the lowest it has been in a week, at 601 new cases on average.


Total Texas deaths are nearing 9,000, even as statewide hospitalization rates are at their lowest levels since before Governor Abbott instituted a statewide mask order, The Texas Tribune reports.


Downtown restaurant Bullion’s to go service BTG is selling COVID-19 tests for $200, The Dallas Morning News reports. The idea is to bring more testing to the area while also driving eyes toward the restaurant’s online grocery delivery service.
