Artfest. May 28-30. Last year, Mayor Ron Kirk labeled this I festival as “the Official Memorial Day Weekend Celebration in Dallas.” Kind of a mouthful, but it’s an endorsement to be reckoned with. Cinco de Mayo Celebration. May 1-2. Mexico defeated the Spanish more than 200 years ago, but the victory party is still going strong. Word is, this one is the best in Dallas. Taste Addison. May 15-16. This event is a tall order, since Addison has the highest concentration of restaurants of any city west of the Mississippi. A Chorus Line. May 4-9. Think life is cutthroat in the business world? Well, as Michael Bennett’s Tony Award-winning musical shows, it’s not all glamour and glitz in show business, either.
