Dallas is home to one of the top accelerators in the country, as Health Wildcatters has been highly ranked by the Seed Accelerator Rankings Project for the third year in a row.
SARP is a study conducted by MIT, the University of Richmond, and Rice University, and is meant to promote further discussion about the impacts and prospects of the accelerator world. The rankings help clarify which programs are performing in regards to funding, valuations, alumni feedback, and survival rates, providing valuable information to entrepreneurs trying to decide where to take their ideas.
Health Wildcatters accelerator program focuses exclusively on healthcare entrepreneurs. It began in 2013 and includes 57 health startups in its portfolio and more than $50 million in investment.
“We’re elated to be ranked again and we feel it validates the effectiveness of our 12-week accelerator program for startups in the healthcare industry,” said Health Wildcatters CEO Dr. Hubert Zajicek via release. “To our knowledge we are the only Texas-based health accelerator to be included in the SARP three consecutive years.”
The latest group of entrepreneurs at Health Wildcatters will make their pitches on Nov. 8 at the Majestic Theater. Previous startups in the accelerator will also be featured. Learn more about the pitch day here.
