Texas Health Resources broke ground on a new, eight-acre outpatient center in Parker County last week, a move that will provide healthcare to an underserved—but growing—community.
Texas Health Outpatient Center Willow Park will feature a freestanding emergency department, fitness center, and three-story medical office building. Services will include cardiac rehabilitation, behavioral health, physical therapy, laboratory services, advanced imaging, and a chronic disease management program. Future plans include a surgery center and expansion of space for more physicians and medical services, to eventually create an integrated health campus.
The center, which is scheduled to open its doors by the end of 2014, will be Texas Health’s first facility in Parker County.
“We’re proud to be a part of the Willow Park community and look forward to serving residents here for years to come,” Dr. Jeffrey Canose, executive vice president for Texas Health and the system’s Southwest Zone operations leader, said in a statement. “Texas Health Willow Park will not only provide emergency care and other basic health services, it will be an integrated health campus that promotes well-being and population health.”
The $20 million center, located at Interstate 20 and Crown Pointe Boulevard, will open as a 60,000-square-foot outpatient center. The closest hospital to Willow Park—Weatherford Regional Medical Center—is almost 10 miles away. The closest Texas Health facility is 15 miles away.
“We’re excited that Texas Health is coming to Willow Park,” said Richard Neverdousky, Willow Park mayor. “This facility is going to be a beautiful, state-of-the-art campus ready to serve local residents and grow as our community grows.”
