The Gathering Galleries Reopens

“Slocum Street is probably the best antiques street in present-day America,” says Jack Caffey, owner of The Gathering Galleries, which recently relocated from Turtle Creek Boulevard, and reopened with a spiffed up vibe that includes nixing the ubiquitous stalls (“Stalls are for horses,” Caffey says), in lieu of spacious galleries that feel more like rooms. The building is completely energy-efficient and green, which is probably a first for an antiques mall in Dallas. The Gathering Galleries. 955 Slocum St. 214-741-4888.
