Ann Sacks’ fantastic new showroom displays some of the most beautiful and innovative tiles in the world. Handmade by talented artisans in far flung corners of the globe, the collections include crystal tiles made in China (found in nine colors from mosaic size to 12-by-24 inch rectangles); Turkish tiles produced with crushed turquoise using a 16th century technique; dazzling hand-painted scenic tile designs inspired by antique Japanese wall coverings; and tiles with 24-karat gold leaf embedded between sheets of glass for a shimmery, watery effect. Check out the women’s bathroom, which is covered in glass and mirrored tiles by Erin Adams in a custom, antler damask pattern. What could be better for the Texas market?  Ann Sacks. 1616 Oak Lawn Ave. 214-742-8543.
