“What’s that smell?” we asked the friendly folks behind the counter at Best Cellars. Wine bottles surrounded us, but our big jammy noses were tickling with the scent of Merlot. At least our wine-snob sensibilities weren’t too far off the trail. For the candle burning nearby perfumed the room with a rich, full-bodied raspberry Merlot fragrance. Made by Botika, the candles ($6.50) also come in Ruby Red Shiraz, Sangria Splash, and White Wine Spritzer. And you thought you’d smelled it all. 3205 Knox St. 214-252-9463. www.botikacandles.com. —N.N.
