Whether you’re an all-star athlete or prefer to get your cardio through shopping and downing mimosas, chances are you’ve run with the athleisure trend at least a time or two. But this is Dallas, a city of impeccably dressed and always-put-together women. Not even our activewear is thrown together without great care — and coordinating colors.

No one may understand what makes the Dallas consumer unique better than Jennifer Bandier, founder of fitness fashion retailer Bandier. Her NYC-based company has five brick and mortar locations, four in New York and one in Dallas’ Highland Park Village. “In NYC, customers often opt for neutral shades and minimal prints, but Dallas customers have an affinity for all-over patterns and feminine colors. They love bold statement jackets and footwear,” says Bandier. “Different styles, but a similar goal: keep it stylish without sacrificing comfort.”

The Dallas store offers the Bandier team an opportunity to cater to Dallas customer’s tastes, a trend which several other NYC-based brands have followed (i.e. Glossier and Lively). “A happy surprise is that we didn’t realize how excited our customer in Dallas would be about The Upside,” says Bandier. “We thought they would love it, but we didn’t know that we would sell-out almost immediately.”

We asked Bandier to list ten must-have athleisure pieces for 2018. Because you deserve to be in stylish sweats for as much of 2018 as possible.
