When asked how she would describe her latest production, Danielle Georgiou, the artistic director and choreographer of the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group (DGDG) described the whole experience as a “sexy nightmare.”

This may explain why filming an early performance of the group’s latest show, War Flower, felt like a sadistically voyeuristic look into the minds of Georgiou and her co-producing conceptual artist partner Justin Locklear. The show—described as a “dramatization of your Facebook feed” by Locklear—incorporates elements of dance, theater, and multimedia while exploring themes of ritual, society, and bees.

You can catch the show this weekend, Thursday through Saturday, at the Bath House Cultural Center at White Rock Lake. Go here for tickets and more information.
