Jane Aldridge got her first pair of Pradas at 15. Since then, the Trophy Club teen—now 16; shoe size 9—has amassed 45 (as of press time) covetable pairs of shoes any fashionista would envy, including the Biba heels pictured here. It’s more than just a collection. Aldridge loves shoes so much that she launched a personal style blog, Sea of Shoes (seaofshoes.com), touting her affection for stylish soles by the likes of Alaia, Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten, Lanvin, Martin Margiela, Miu Miu, and more. She updates the site almost daily (the Westlake Academy student’s homework comes first) with photos of her favorite shoes, outfits, and inspirations. (Current obsession: Ann Demeulemeester triple-lace boots.) She’s been recognized as Teen Vogue’s Snapshot girl (March ‘08) and attracts readers worldwide, including the Philippines, home to 15 percent of her readers. “Where I live, there’s not much fashion. It’s nice to share with others who appreciate it,” says Aldridge, who has an air of sophistication and style beyond her years, thanks in part to her mother, Judy, a clothing designer and former Kim Dawson Agency model. “Shoes are the foundation of an outfit. You can’t have a great outfit without good shoes.”
