For centuries, the pineapple has been a universal symbol of hospitality, especially in the South, so it is common to find pineapple-themed décor in southern homes as a way to welcome guests. But, this summer, the trend has manifested in the form of clothing and accessories. The motif is a summer twist on the spring’s signature floral prints, and we’ve found it in Dallas boutiques (such as The Gypsy Wagon) on cups, pool floats, and accessories. Be warned: The pineapple trend is so fresh right now that multiple themed items we found have already sold out. But, if you’re pining after pineapple this summer, there are plenty of places to try on the tropical style.
