Thumbs Up: To Supt. Linus Wright for his public commitment to clean up the school district. Recent revelations of financial impropriety in the DISD administration only touch the surface of a managerial system fraught with incompetence, lack of accountability, and evasions of responsibility. Wright will need all the encouragement he can get, because his school board is as nervous about a clean up as his subordinates. Not surprising, considering that all but one of the current members were on the board when the whole mess started.
