10 Vacation Must-Haves

With the unusually cold weather on our hands, I can’t help but dream of a warmer, tropical climate. If you’re making that dream come true in the upcoming spring and summer months, we’ve compiled a list of ten vacation must-haves from local Dallas shops. Whether it’s a girls trip, or a romantic getaway, Seaside, or St. Tropez, you’ll look like anything but a beach bum with this resort gear. Inspiration: toes in the sand.

Vacation Items

1. This Nocturne statement necklace ($218) from Planet Bardot to finish a simple ensemble.

2. A bright bag is at the top of my list for resort wear. I like this Elizabeth and James crossbody ($295) from Neiman Marcus. It’s easy to carry during the day and, with a removable strap, the perfect clutch at night.

3. A fashionable cover-up is a necessity, like this Clover Canyon “Cuban Cigars” cover-up ($238) at Elements.

4. Celine has an amazing sunglass collection. I found this Celine “CL” pair ($459) at Fashion Optical, and I love the square, tortoise shell frames. They’re a worthy investment.

5.  However, the more I see espadrille loafers, the more I love them. This Elyse Walker blue pair ($355) at Neiman Marcus look similar to the their more expensive Celine doppelgängers. I’m wearing mine with everything.

6. These printed pants by Alexis ($258) complete your beach look. Throw on some wedges, and you have an outstanding night outfit, too.

7. Your flip flops don’t have to be ugly. These Hari Mari flip flops ($60) from St. Bernard come in multiple different colors, are aesthetically pleasing, and more durable. A new “Lakes” leather line just launched, too.

8. L.bartlett has an amazing selection of Sea Folly bikinis and cover-ups ($72-100) in bright solids and fun prints. This multicolored one just happened to be my favorite.

9. You can’t go wrong with a pair of traditional Ray Ban aviators, but the new colored mirror versions ($168) have fashion bloggers swooning. Stop by Planet Bardot and check out a pair. Choose from orange, green, and blue lenses.

10. L.bartlett finished off your beach time needs with soft Seafolly towels ($61) in a number of pretty spring colors.

Bon voyage, my friends!
