Designer Derek Lam is flying to Dallas this week to say hello to the ladies of Big D for his spring 2014 trunk show at Forty Five Ten. If you can’t wait to get up close and personal with the playful-but-minimalistic checkered prints, denim trench dress, and belted maxis, you can head in Thursday. But to get intimate with the maker, head to the champagne reception Friday. For two hours, he’ll be mixing and mingling in the shop.
