Remember local designer Jim Duran’s BLKLN debut? The fall men’s collection was a medley of metallic slate cargo skinnies, sequined black tees, sheer black button-ups, and other glam, rock-and-roll-inspired separates. There were some quirky pieces–tanks as long as dresses, for example–but I would have worn most of it myself. The same could be said for Jim’s exotic vacation-inspired spring lineup with low, scoop-neck tanks and floral print pants, but I think more Dallas dudes can actually get on board this time. Sure, floral prints are a stretch for the Polo set, but for a guy with a little imagination and a playful approach to dressing, I think a short-sleeved button-up with a barely there, peek-a-boo floral print panel is totally doable.  Plus, they can  top it off with a new BLKLN baseball cap. Hit up the launch party on Thursday, September 12 to see it all in person.

In the meantime, let’s talk about how killer a full, 50s-length skirt would be in one those dark floral with tights and booties. You listening, Jim? I’m just sayin’…
