Mrs. Myron Watkins is the wife of the well-known Dallas obstetrician and gynecologist. Barbara Watkins is on the board of trustees of Fisk University, Nashville, Tenn., and on the advisory committee of the Afro American Museum, Bishop College. She is a charter board member of Greater Dallas Community Relations Commission and the Dallas Urban League. She is chairperson of the Child Abuse Committee, Dallas County Mental Health Association; a past member of the Regional Health Planning Council, North Texas Council of Governments; and past president to the auxiliary of C. V. Roman Medical Society. She has also been chairperson of a Task Force of the Area Agency on Aging. Barbara Watkins’ honors include Outstanding Woman of the Year, lota Phi Lambda and the Community Relations Award, Catholic Interracial Council of Dallas.
