I did some serious relaxing over the break and naturally, that included a mani/pedi. I decided to branch out and try Pampered Soles Nail Spa on Lovers and Inwood. I’m always skeptical about trying out new nail salons, but when I pulled up and saw that this place had valet parking, I knew that Pampered Soles and I would get along just fine. If you can’t tell from the curbside service, this is not your typical nail spa. Forget about unsanitary spa chairs and tools – they cover your comfy recliner in fresh linens and soak your feet in a tub covered in plastic to ensure cleanliness. Even better, they store your tools in a personalized box so you don’t have to worry about using somebody else’s leftovers. If a perfect mani/pedi isn’t enough, they bring out hot tea (or whatever you fancy) and hors d’oeuvres. (When I was there, they were serving mini caprese salad.) If you think it can’t get any better, it does. This month, Pampered Soles is offering a special deal just for you, ShopTalkers. All you have to do is mention this post and you’ll get 30 percent off your mani/pedi!
