One could argue that, as editors of a beauty magazine, we are guilty of perpetuating an unattainable standard of beauty, although I’d like to think we are more realistic in the way we portray women, because, hey, we are about as “regular” as they come. That said, I am excited to see this new film, America the Beautiful, which opens September 5 at the Angelika Film Center. Filmmaker Darryl Roberts asks the all-important question: is America’s obsession with beauty unhealthy? (Um, yes!) Let me know what you think after you see it.
