One Arts Plaza will welcome a new tenant on August 27. Proof +Pantry, a production of Misery Loves Company Restaurant Group, will open the doors to a restaurant with “pantry,” a seasonal menu of global cuisine, and “proof,” a list of carefully curated cocktails. The talent behind the business is Michael Martensen (Cedars Social, Smyth) and Sal Jafar II (co-founder of Driftwood).

The culinary team is an added plus: executive chef Kyle Mc Clelland will be joined by sous chef Brian Bui.

Here are a few details:

The beverage menu is organized by proof: No Proof (Peach Shrub), Low Proof (dry Sherry), and High Proof (Strawberry Cardamom Highland Tequila).

The food menu is organized by category: Soil (baby radishes), Land (lamb belly), Sea (Raclette tarts with smoked salmon roe), and Bulk (items to share.)

The space formerly known as The Commissary has been redesigned into an “industrial chic rustic pantry lined with shelving, weathered metals, distressed, wood accents, and tile.”
