It’s Hatch Chile Time in Dallas

hatch-poster-3I realize that there is a lot of hype and marketing behind the Hatch chile but I don’t really care. I love them. I love to keep grilled Hatch chiles, chicken sausage made with Hatch chiles, and Hatch chile sorbet in my freezer. Hatch chocolate bars from Patric Chocolates are essential additions to your snack drawer.

The Hatch Chile Festival at Central Market started yesterday and will continue through August 20. Many local restaurants such as Blue Mesa, Chuy’s, and El Fenix are running special menus centered on the Hatch chile.
