Are You a Dipper or a Squeezer? Heinz Ketchup Truck Helps You Figure It Out.

|

The Heinz ketchup truck (yeah, we didn’t know there was one either) is in town for the next few days giving out free fries. Intern Meredith has the scoop:

In an unofficial survey of my Facebook friends, 100 percent of them claim to prefer Heinz ketchup. Lucky for them, the Heinz truck is stopping through Dallas this weekend, its final stop in a four-city Ketchup Road Trip that kicked off in Heinz’ hometown, Pittsburgh. The truck stopped in the Arts District yesterday afternoon, handing out packets of their new Dip & Squeeze Ketchup with a side of Ore-Ida’s crinkle-cut or sweet potato fries (or was it the other way around?). Also up for grabs? T-shirts and free buttons to establish yourself as either a “dipper” or a “squeezer.”

I, myself, am a squeezer.

jump for the locations of the free ketchup/french fry truck…

The Dip & Squeeze creation was designed based on consumer feedback and the desire for easier on-the-go packaging. The Ketchup Road Trip? Also patron-inspired. “Fans have been asking for a chance to try Heinz Dip & Squeeze Ketchup, so we wanted to find a fun way for them to experience this innovative package in a real and fun way,” says PR head, Jessica Jackson. I’m sure the whole food-truck fad may also have something to do with it.

Catch the truck tonight, from 6 to 8 pm, on Knox near the Apple store. On Friday, the ketchup kids will be serving latenight on the 3600 Block of Greenville Ave. from 9 pm to midnight. On Saturday, stop by 8070 Park Lane from 2 to 5 pm, and Deep Ellum from 6 to 9 pm. On Sunday, the truck will spend its last day in Dallas at Traders Village (2602 Mayfield Rd.) from noon to 4 pm. For exact locations as well as social media-related giveaways, follow their Twitter (@DipAndSqueeze) or stop by the company’s HeinzKetchup Facebook page.

Happy dipping (or squeezing), SideDishers!
