Your interior design fairy godmother has arrived.

For many decor-loving Dallasites, the luxury of hiring an interior designer has long been out of reach. Thanks to the New York-based startup Homepolish, that’s all about to change. The service, which has just launched in Dallas, was conceived by Noa Santos and Will Nathan as an alternative to high-priced interior designers. While doing away with commissions and product markups, Homepolish recruits young designers from top schools and firms to make professional interior design services accessible at almost any budget.

Just as the prices are unintimidating ($100 an hour for a junior designer and $130 for a senior level), so is the process of booking a designer. You start with a style quiz to help determine the aesthetic you’re looking for (my result: “Clean and Considered”), and then you book! Homepolish finds a designer to fit your needs and sets up a consultation either at your home or via video chat (with a flat rate of $50 for junior and $80 for senior designers). After that, the designer proposes the number of hours they’ll need to help you meet your vision, whether it’s a complete renovation or simply finding the perfect finishing touches for your space.

If the convenience of it all isn’t enough to sell you on Homepolish, a quick perusal of their designers’ work should do the trick. With projects for notable names like Goop, Gray Malin, and Kelly Oxford on its resume, Homepolish will surely find some fans in the Big D.

“The people of Dallas are lovely, the homes are beautiful, and the city is forward-thinking enough to appreciate what we’re trying to do,” Santos says. “Plus it’s sunny all the time and I’m going to need a break from the New York winter.”
