Bryan DeLuca of sock subscription service Foot Cardigan stopped by the Old Monk on Thursday to talk about his unique business, the national news that McKinney made this week, and the chief exports of Eurasian countries.

What you need to know:

1. Here’s former McKinney police officer Eric Casebolt’s infamous barrel roll set to the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage”:

2. Talking Points Memo ran a piece about the difference between “warrior” and “guardian” cops, which Mike referenced in “Leading Off” on Wednesday.

3. Casebolt served in the Navy for 10 years, three of those as part of the military police.

4. 15-year-old Brandon Brooks filmed the incident in McKinney. He’s a hero to his generation for having the presence of mind to shoot it in landscape orientation.

5. Sean Toon is the man in McKinney who called 911. He’s a convicted felon and animal torturer.

6. This is the original Dollar Shave Club video — posted March 6, 2012 — that inspired DeLuca to start Foot Cardigan:

8. In “Teacher’s Pet,” the 16th episode of the third season of Cheers (which first aired Jan. 31, 1985), Coach uses a song about Albania to try to help Sam pass a geography class in order to earn a high school diploma:
