D Magazine has an opening for an associate editor, who will focus primarily on the front of the book. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of journalism experience, preferably in magazines, a passion for newsgathering, and a deep knowledge of all things Dallas. A successful FOB editor can generate ideas, report, edit, package, meet deadlines, and juggle a section with a slew of moving parts, including hard-to-pin-down freelancers. Other responsibilities include blogging for DMagazine.com, writing for D, and picking up the slack as needed.
