Thumbs Up to Oklahoma-based Braum’s dairy product company for contributing $25,000 worth of television advertising spots to Clean Dallas, the city’s volunteer clean-up campaign, which has shifted into high gear in anticipation of the Republican National Convention in August. Dave Dun-nigan, executive director of Clean Dallas, says that Braum’s was particularly generous. The three 30-second commercials it produced for the campaign feature “Ernest” (actor Jim Varney) and “Vern,” an off-camera character, who appear in the company’s ice cream commercials.
