Prince Avalanche. Not as cute as Clueless Paul Rudd. But any Paul Rudd is better than no Paul Rudd.

The USA Film Festival kicks off tonight at the Angelika with a documentary and tributes to the filmmakers Jeff Lipsky (Flannel Pajamas) and Richardson native David Gordon Green. Green’s last few movies, Your Highness and The Sitter, have been less than impressive. But his latest, Prince Avalanche, screens this evening. It’s a comedy about two men repainting traffic lines on a country highway, and Green will be in attendance.  And even though I had Tex-Mex last night, I could still go for a couple tacos and some queso at Urban Taco.

Meanwhile, the World Book Night activities that were supposed to take place last night in Main Street Garden are actually happening this evening thanks to yesterday’s inclement weather. Drop by the Campisi’s downtown for pizza, drinks, and a free copy of Fahrenheit 451. It’s all made possible by your friends at the Big Read Dallas, Downtown Dallas Inc, and the Dallas Public Library.

Finally, Flirt Boutique is offering a pretty great Wednesday deal. They’re donating 10% of profits from today to West, Texas. It’s a good time to drop by and see if anything catches your eye.
