Theme Park Rides I’ll Be Avoiding, First in a Series: Texas Giant

|

Six Flags Over Texas’ Texas Giant was shut down much of last week, for sketchily explained reasons. On Saturday, it reopened, and Six Flags flacks said:

“On Friday, the ride was thoroughly inspected by Six Flags engineers and an inspector from the Texas Department of Insurance and has been cleared to reopen.”

Which is fine, except, according to Department of Insurance spokesman Jerry Hagins:

“We did not do any inspections. We do not have any inspectors.”
