Levinthal Leaving DMN For D.C.

|

Dave Levinthal, a City Hall reporter for The Dallas Morning News, will pick up stakes and move to Washington, D.C., this summer. In a note to colleagues, he explained why:

Michelle received a most ridiculous offer to work at the National Institute of Health as a cancer immunologist, and of course, you know how I feel about wanting to work in D.C. So we’re pulling the trigger. It’s scary, unsettling and incredibly exciting. And I want you to hear it from me first before word gets around too much.

Michelle will leave at the end of June. I plan to stay in Dallas for a while longer, possibly into August, and continue working at the DMN until I move. I’ve only just begun looking for a new job, but I’m confident, despite the job market, that matters will work out.
