City Secretary Deborah Watkins is a Saint. You Hear Me? A Saint.

|

In other signature-gathering news, the Citizens Against the Taxpayer-Owned Hotel delivered something extra with their giant pile of petitions: a letter from CATOH spokesman Brooks Love that says, as translated by Dave Levinthal, “Don’t screw up the signature counting process.”

I had to work with Watkins when I was futilely trying to get on the mayoral ballot. She’s tough but fair, and a real sweetheart, and that goes for the rest of her staff. I can say that the only person who screwed up during that time has two thumbs and is currently writing a blog post.  Just seeing the amount of work they had to do on my meager operation, I don’t envy the task ahead, with both sides breathing down the necks of her and her staff.
