Robert Wilonsky to Guest Host Ebert & Roeper … Forever?

|

Heard on Monday that Robert’s guest host gig on Ebert & Roeper had been expanded to permanent status, at least pending Roger Ebert’s return from health issues. Here is kinda-sorta confirmation from the man himself (who didn’t give me permission to use the quote, until after I posted it):

I am in Chicago as I type this [redacted]. [redacted] we all hope Roger comes back sooner than later. But I am guest hosting through the end of the year [redacted].

It might be too soon for this, but if Ebert never comes back, what do they call the show? Roeper & Wilonsky, I guess? Richard & Robert? Fingers & Thumbs?

UPDATE: I changed Robert’s quote to the for-attribution version. There’s actually nothing juicy in the redacted parts. I just thought it looked funnier that way.
