Oak Cliff Want Trolley Again. Want It Now.

|

(Alt. Headline: Where You Should Be On Thursday Night)

You may have heard there’s a group of people in Oak Cliff called the Oak Cliff Transit Authority, headed up by nice guy Jason Roberts, suggesting that Oak Cliff get back to its streetcar roots, and I think it’s a swell idea. The DMN story has a quick mention of a fundraiser on Thursday night. More details on that fundraiser after the jump.

Event: Oak Cliff Transit Authority presents its “Back to the Future Fundraiser”
Date: Sept. 6th, 2007 6:30PM — 9:30PM
Location: Ice House Banquet Center, 1004 Page Street, Dallas, Texas 75208
Admission: $15
Details: The fundraiser will include presentations by the new urbanist investment firm the INCAP Fund and OCTA, food from local area restaurants, live music from the Lucky Pierres, and a silent auction. We are raising money to complete a streetcar feasibility study developed by the engineering firm Huitt-Zollars.
