Sowing the Seeds of Bud

|

A common-sense-having FrontBurnervian wonders the same thing I sorta wondered:

In regards to the recent discoveries of someone’s handy horticulture work around the Dallas area, why is it the first reaction of authorities to immediately announce the discovery and then destroy the goods? Why would they not set up a surveillance of the area and try to find out who planted the crops and is maintaining them? From the pictures I saw yesterday, this is not the work of Wooderson and his buddies from the moon tower.

Makes sense to me.
