I also stopped by for the festivities of the opening of the park at Victory Park. I agree with Jessica, lots of fun. It was refreshing to see so many people outside enjoying the grounds of the often vacant area in front of the W. With the park completed, I expect there will be a lot more activity over there. Even more interesting to me was all of the shops that have opened up. You’d miss them if you didn’t know they were there. Be sure to check out Haven (unique home accessories and an array of candles), JL Collection (golf and sportswear store by J.Lindeberg that features a golf-simulator on the second floor), Jolie (full of pretty party frocks under $200), Klad (hip yet sophisticated men’s and women’s wear), Munia (designer women’s wear including Versace, Marc Jacobs, Valentino and Sonia Rykiel), and of course LFT (a little bit of everything from furniture to fashion for men and women). Well worth a trip.
